a lot of people want darker, but i love the look of mine. ive always hated "limo" tint, i thought it usually looked ghetto and cheap. mine looks like it should come on a high end factory mercedes.
the job was more expensive, as everything in cary, nc, is...290 installed. but i absolutely love it, and love the fact i have a warranty.

ok, just had my windows tinted yesterday, so i can tell ya first hand. in NC, i believe the law is 35%, so thats what i went with. i went with some real premium stuff...new Carbon window tint from SunTek. Comes with a limited lifetime warranty, against peeling, fading, cracking, discloring, etc. this brand was really highly recommended by a lot of pros. its non-metallic, so it doesnt affect radio reception or cell phone signal (a lot of the metallic ones are great at heat reduction, but can kill your reception), so im real happy with my job.

Would help my decision a bit.
ya i was planning on window tinting soon and the law in Mass is 35% i was thinking about going 20-25% because 35% isnt dark enough for me but ive heard people say that its really hard to see out of the rear window with it tinted
you can look up your state lwas here >>> http://www.tintlaws.com

I got 20% on the windows then 10% on the rear
dont tint windshield cuz first of all that's illegal to do any and shops wont tint it but almost every where here(OREGON) will go below the illegal limit no problem they just wont give you this "consent ticket" thing you need when the cops pull you over if they HAPPEN to ask to prove you have legal tint
most likely you wont get pulled over JUST for the tint

i have5sin the back of the car with 15s on the front two sides and 35 on the windshield. i can see easily at night also.
My very first car was a 98 contour that I bought used. Onmy first speeding ticket the cop told me to roll up my window and he said that there was no tint sticker and gave me a additional ticket for the window tint level. I fought it and was going to get out of it becuase I had bought the car like that but the stupid cop did not show. Got it dismissed but wasted like 2 hours of my time.
May be you can get the lower tint and try to get a sticker saying thats its the legal type.
Just a idea.

i think windsheild tinting is illegal almost everywhere unless u just want that little strip across the top. i also want my windows tinted im thinking about 25-30%because my state law is 35% (maryland) and if im gonna pay good money for it then i dont want to have to rip it off. neway have any of you guys seen it where the main side window is 25-30% and then the little window behind that is like 10-15%, how would that look.
i have 15% in the quarters and rear windsheild and 20% on the driver and passenger windows i live jersey and have been pulled over about four times just for tints but got warnings every time lol they will only pull you over to look for other **** (drugs/drunk driving) plus in nj they care about everything. but every shop in nj does window tinting even tho its illegal
