Default Power Estimates....

I am currently in the process of trying to buy my old '94 Mustang back. I sold it two years ago and lucked up on seeing it for sale online. After talking to the current owner, he agreed he would try to hold it for me until next week, after I close on my new house. It is a 3.8L 5 speed, the only mod being a 2000 GT dual exhuast. Its in pretty bad shape (both body wise and engine wise), but it was my first car, so I really want to get it back and fix it up.

I am contemplating doing a 4.2L swap, w/ heads and cam, and possibly forced induction. My question is, what would be needed to get me around the 250 - 300 rwhp range? I've briefly looked at supersixmotorsports.com, but I don't know what kind of output their products have. 4.2L's aren't that hard to find around here, as alot of construction companies use Ford trucks, beat them up, then sell them cheap. What would be the best setup for a 4.2L (as far as heads, cam, and tune)?

Thank you for your time.

Tony

id do a straight supercoupe swap. with bolt ons and swap you might see 250hp and hella tq. im sure theres a parts list somewhere but the motor is a direct swap and might work out best for you.

If your not trying to spend a ton of money, or go back to super coupe single port heads...

A junk yard 4.2L + Long tubes & full exhaust + ported upper & lower intakes + UDP + ported heads + a decent n/a cam would prob get you close.

Has anyone here done the Super Coupe swap and seen a good power gain? I don't know if I would be able to find the Super Coupe around here... I've seen a few, but they're alot less present than the 4.2L power plants.

Thanks for the info!

Wish me luck in gettin the car back.... First things first I guess......
