no up and go

Unhappy no up and go

ok i asked a couple other people this with no answers

i recently bought a 97 mustang had a blown motor i bought a new one put it in
everything works fine it drives runs whatever however there is no get up and go it goes like 0-60 in 2.5 years lol but once it is going it goes! its a v6 automatic

if ya need to know more ask

Did you replace the engine with a split port v6 or a single port v6?

Yeah it takes about 9 sec to get there on a single port

Stock AUTO singleport VERY slow. I can probably run the 1/4 faster.

if i had a blow motor i would had try to upgraded to a bigger litter 4.0 or a 4.2 or ste it up to a v8

so basically i have to get a better motor i was going to upgrade it but the boyfriend didnt think it was a good idea cuz of all the extra work and i was doing it by myself so anyways guess ill take the motor back out still has warranty on it so give it back to the ppl get my money and get a better motor

A stock 94-98 V6 is fairly slow however if it's taking longer than 9/10 seconds to hit 60, then there's a problem somewhere.
