Default Advice please??

Hello All
I’m new here, just bought my very first mustang. It has always been my dream to own one. Now after many changes in my life I finally have one. I bought a 1994 v6 (automatic), hoping to modify it and call it my own. However, here is my situation.

My goal is to get it up and running. I know nothing, and learning as I go; with research, talking to others etc.
So….
Problem #1
The gentleman I purchased it from did advise me it was sitting for over a year on his lawn.

Problem #2
After a new battery, it starts but will not stay running unless I have my foot on the gas. I do plan to have someone today clean and check spark plugs.

Problem #3
The shifter seems tight, it shifts just very hard

Problem #4
If I can get it to drive, what needs to be checked; done: serviced.
I plan on a tune up/oil change/brake lines flushed checked etc.

I know she was a risk but I fell in love with her.
I admit I don’t know anything about cars, and do have friends to help.

Any advice you have will be greatly appreciated….
Stay tuned for pics……

Get it running decently and use her as a daily driver. I personally would advise you to not dump alot of money into a 94 auto 3.8...

you seem to be in the right track, for a car that has been sitting for a long time I would flush and change out all fluids. Get a tune up and everything you said in your post.

Its your car, your baby, you want to drop a couple of grads on it then go ahead. Who cares?
