Default Battery

So the battery on my car is about 2 years old. About ever 3 or 4 months there is this Blue crystal junk all over the things where the cables hook up.. Im guessing its battery acid? When its on there the car has trouble starting so i wash it off but now it is doing it again. Do i need a new battery or what can i do to fix it..

Disconnect the wires. clean both the terminals and the connectors with a wire brush. Reconnect the wires then spray a battery terminal protector on them.

Clean the terminals and connectors thoroughly. Then before you connect them back together, take a dab of Vaseline and coat the surface of the terminals and connectors. Re-connect. You're good to go. This method hasn't let me for over a year now.

Take them off, Scrub them with a wire brush and before you add them back put *Dielectric grease* on the terminals. That will solve your problem.

Vaseline is cheap. You probably already have some so you don't have to waste gas $ + extra product $ to get something that you really don't need for this particular application...

Vaseline is also rather flammable and your engine bay can get rather hot, plus electricity can make sparks...but if you dont mind fire hazards then go for the Vaseline.
