My wife recently purchased a '98 V6 model. It only fires up on the second try from the key switch, i.e., first try just cranks, then fires right up on second crank. Whats up with that ?

p.s. V6, 5 speed manual, 140k miles.

 

I would bet on a fuel delivery issue...need to get a fuel pressure gauge on that thing when cranking.

 

Ah, maybe the fuel pump, huh ? I'll tell the Mrs. we need to buy a new fuel pump and filter. Sounds like a plan. Thanks Sir,
