Default new exhaust

How do you install a dual exhaust instead of the single Exhaust. Will an exhaust with the y pipe adaptor like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WDVW make it sound better and help with performance? or is it better to use an h or x pipe? if an h or x pipe is better how do you install it.

an h and x pipe will sound better but make sure you leave the cats on so that you have enough back pressure for your engine. the v6 comes stock with an h pipe so you dont need an adapter if you're getting a h pipe setup. there are some kits out there that come bolt on so that they are easy to install and then there are setups that have to be welded on. you can go to www.rpmoutlet.com or www.lmperformance.com to check out some exhaust systems for you car.

I just cut the Y pipe off my stang and Got Hpipe and long tube headers. Ran them straight down to two 40s flowmasters sounds great. Go Hpipe I hear that its better for backpressue than the xpipe...maybe im wrong dont know, but good luck with the project.

i meant an upside down h pipe , sorry dunno what I was thinking. Anyway, you can buy an adaptor for the y-pipe. I'm pretty sure that they sell them at rpm-outlet.com

I have a 94 mustang and the gas tank seems to be in the way of where the second exhaust should go. Has anyone put dual exhaust on a 94? do you have to move anything and does anyone have any pictures of it?

Yeah it will work i put the exact same exhaust on my car. You just need special brackets made for the end to hold the chorme tips in place.
