Are all 94-98 stock hoods steel or did some come with fiberglass?

 

actually they are all fiberglass.

 

wrong mine is steel (96)and my friends 98 is fiberglass so not all are fiberglass also his car had front end damage from previous owner also the steel one weighs less if thats a factor you looking to get lighter

 

also my friends 02 is steel as well

 

No it's not, you're wrong. They are all fiberglass, the reinforcement is steel and that's it.

 

um ok well when i did the body work on my car took the hood down to bare metal no fiberglass, second there was a v6 in my auto class fiberglass which was in two pieces no steel

 

i know for a fact that all 99-04 are fiberglass. im not 100% sure on the 94-98 but im pretty damn sure they are all fiberglass as well. like ryan said they have steel reinforcement but the rest is fiberglass.

 

im not saying your wrongabout the 99-04 i took a look at my friends again it is indeed fiberglassed but like i said im just sharing what i found when i sanded minee down and maybe different packages came withdifferent hoods idk all i know is there no fiberglass on mine or my brothers friend who just so happened to wreck his mustang today a 95

 

I worked for ford, every hood I ordered was fiberglass. We even had a bad batch of warped Cobra hoods for 94-98 due to a bad mold. Only the F150's came with either aluminum or fiberglass hoods.
