Why not i saw it in the tech articles where people were just using some kind of felt i'd much rather have a metal piece in there that wouldnt tear.

Ahahaha, a "restrictor plate", what is this, ****** NASCAR!

This mod doesn't really do anything for performance, especially if you have a stick.

it lowers your idle and causes your rpms to fall faster. thats it.

Why would you even consider adding anything to your car that restricts it?

i belive its more like a trick to fool your computer, not actual resticting airflow. I have seen for 5.0 mustangs but with different hole sizes.I think even holley sells one.

all it does is go between the idle air control and the plenum, it makes less air get to the engine when you dont have the pedal down. the rpms fall a lot quicker when shifting.

i would recommend it if you have a 5 speed, its pointless to get if you have an auto. i love mine because the rpms fall to the perfect spot when i get back on the gas after shifting. its never to high. get it if you cant make your own.

it does not restrict anything else, you will not gain or lose any hp or tq.

you dont need it if you have an auto or if you know how to shift a stick. it will gain you zero hp.
