Default Amsoil for 9k miles

Ok when i change my oil i used amsoil then i went on the higeway and got 28 mpg now with 9k miles on the oil with a few mods like cai and true duel exhaust and stage 1 cluth kit....i dont think any of those can effect mpg....so u guys think the oil could cause my mpg to go down...i get 24 mpg highway now.....

what kind of oil filter did you use? the type of oil doesnt nearly mean as much as the filter

actually if you use amsoil filters or another extended length filter it could be fine, however if you spend the money on one it would of been cheaper to just do the oil change,

and im going to laugh when he comes on and says he was using a fram filter

i used the amsoil filter when i got the oil it says u can go for 1 year or 25kmiles on it

but im thinking on going with mobil one prob get all the fluid change in it as well and my dad thinks i need an aliment on my wheels....

They say you can go x amount of miles, but to follow the manufacturer's recommendation!

Change your oil! I always follow the 3k rule. If I would be using synthetic, it would be 5-6k. The only way in hell I'd do 9k is if I was running full synthetic 15w40 (and obviously not in the stang).
