Default CAI question

alright everyone, lookin to get intake for my v6 98 mustang conver. i was lookin at mac mostly and ive read a few threads over the past while about cai and ive noticed a few people talkin about the oxygen sensors and how it doesnt work properly and sometimes the engine light going on because of the intake. does this happen to a lot of people or does it depend on the intake and if so what kind should i get that would give me a decent boost and have no lights coming on in the gauge cluster

meh.. if you're gonna get a mac, just get one of them cheap ebay CAIs. same thing as the mac basically. wait til the v6 owners with them chime in. they'll tell ya. you aren't going to see any real gains from just an intake.

what year stang you have anyway?

I've never heard of a malfunction light associated with the O2 sensors coming on following installation of a CAI. Maybe following intallation of an exhaust midpipe, where the sensors are located, but not from a CAI.
