Default gear install

How difficult is it to swap out gears in the 7.5 housings.
I have a t-lok and gears in the garage waiting for install.
I have built up a few 9 inch chunks but those are simple.

Best left up to a professional, honestly.

if you have never done them before it is real easy to mess something up, better off shopping around for prices from reputable shops

I don't know why everyone is so afraid of gears. It's not a bad install. It's not hard by any means, it's just time consuming and tedious. If you're good with hand tools and following directions, then give it a shot. I've done a bunch of them, and it's really not that bad.

cause most people dont have the time/patience to have their car out of commision if its taking them too long, right now my rear end is out of the sixxer to replace my broken t-lock but i have the luxury of another car

Would i be better off swapping in a 9 inch with a 3.60 4.74 or 6.00 gear with a detroit locker or building up the 7.5 with t-lok and 3.73 gears. I have all the gears, but would have to build the rear housing for the 9 inch.

Well if you have big plans, which i think you may by looking at your sig, for the car an 8.8 or a 9" would be a good investment.
