Default 3.9l help

does anyone have any sites or information that can help me find the differences in the 3.8l and 3.9l v6 engines

what do you need them for. engine size on the 04 has around the same horsepower. the 04 has 190 (according to edmunds) and the 99-03 have 193. But another site said 193 so ill try to find a site for you

The 3.9 has 3 hp more, thats it. Same block, same parts.

1.9MM longer stroke in the 3.9L up to 87.9 and -.3 smaller bore of 96.5 which makes it a very slight underbore of .010in^3 if you get to the nitty gritty on the math everyhting else is the same more or less

What everyone else said + It's the windstar 3.9L motor since they ran out of 3.8L that year and were moving to the the 4.0L for 05+

how can it possibly be the same parts if their are differences im p;aying the devils advocate there HAS to be different parts other than saying a longer stoke IE different crank and also the bore is slightly different so different block and pistons to fit right so then do the 4.3 pistons work for the 3.9? im just opening all kinds of can's of worms
