Default Where do I go now?

Ok, so all of my preventative maintenance is done as far as I can tell, and I've done a few basic mods, see sig, but now I really wanna kick the power up a bit. Nothing huge, but I'd enjoy a little extra hp. Nitrous is out, and I'm thinking gears and LSD, but my question is, I'm going to turbo the car eventually, so I'm trying to decide between a 7.5 and 8.8. I'm really not dying to buy a whole new axle, as my parents probably wouldn't believe any excuse I came up with for that, but will a 7.5 hold up as long as it's got a Detroit or Auburn in it? I wanna do wheels and tint, but to be honest, I don't need a whole lot more show, I need more go. I'm gonna repaint it eventually as well, just black again, but I don't really wanna do that right now as I have nowhere to keep it covered.

Suggestions? I'm happy with suspension for now as well, so idk where to go now to prepare myself for a turbo down the road.

A good 7.5 will work for you.

Ok, so I'm thinking 3.73's, which will work for now, and be great for a turbo, whereas 4.10's would be useless with a turbo.

And what's the best LSD I can get for the money besides a Tlok? I don't really want a straight up locker because it'll be used for autox and street, no real road racing and certainly not at the strip.

One more question, I had a friend tell me that you could do a Cobra IRS swap, and that it's basically a direct fit. True? I figure that would be phenomenal for handling, but how feasible is it? Does it require a lot of fabbing/modding, or is it a straight bolt up?

Cost of stock IRS swap vs same amount of $$ into a solid axle an the current solid will out perform the IRS.
However, unlimited budget, IRS will do better.

What can the 7.5 handle? A P&P 4.2L with Windstar and the VMP s/c kit?
