Default Check engine light??

Ok i have 2 codes that were thrown at me and they where p0301 and p0401.

ok the p0301 is Cylinder 1 One Misfire Detected.

then the p0401 is Insufficient EGR Flow.

What can i do to fix these things?

ok for the misfire i would check the plug and wire to the cylinder as well as the coil to ensure proper spark.
for the EGR flow it's most likely the DPFE sensor which is know to throw codes.
you can get a new sensor or if you want get a tuner and remove the EGR function and then remove the egr system.

Yes your EGR does effect gas mileage. It re-circulates unburned exhaust gases back into your intake, thus equaling free fuel that would juust be going out your tailpipes. I had mine taked out for a while and i was getting like 230 miles to the tank! The EGR is disabled a WOT anyways so i would keep it in.
