If you want super bright go with a white bulb. If you want a lot of usable light, find a bulb with a yellowish tint. White, blue, and purple lights reflect off fog, rain, snow, etc. Yellow lights do not, meaning you can see better in adverse conditions. I currently have PIAA Xtreme White bulbs, and they're a ton better than the stock bulbs; you can tell they aren't stock when you see the headlights, but they're not "ricer blue" either. That being said, I have a set of HID projectors in the mail

They were like $30 or $40 at Advance Auto Parts... you'll want 9007 bulbs (and I might consider selling my PIAAs, I'll pm you when I get my projectors)

I believe the PIAA Xtreme Whites retail around $40, but I bought mine like 4 months ago, so I can't say for certain

You know, you could jsut have a blown fuse, there are 3 fuses for the headlights, and I think the low beam has a left and right fuse
