Default line lock

does anybody know were i could buy a line lock from and about how much it costs, i want to do some sick burnouts but obviously it would really help if i had a line lock. would it even be worth putting one on an 05 mustang? im not sure how much torque i need to pulling to be doing some nice ones.
thanks

A line lock is a very simple device. It's merely a hydraulic control valve. Energize the solenoid and the valve closes. It really is that simple.

Most newer cars have two front brake lines directly from the MC, instead of one MC line that branches near the left wheel well. Since there are two lines, you need two solenoids. Both can - and should - be controlled by the same switch. The fancy kits designed specifically for the 05+ Mustang include special lines and brackets to make installation easier. But it's still the same concept.

For a cheap quality part set, buy two kits from Summit Racing. Then use your own skills to fabricate the lines and brackets to make it all work. Not difficult, certainly not rocket science. But time consuming.

For a 94-04 you only need one solenoid, it's easy, the hardest part is bleeding the entire system. I'd recommend installing, bleeding and then going and getting your brake system flushed with all new stuff. You'll need a flare tool and a tubing cutter, and possibly some extra fittings. I'm gonna buy ANOTHER line-lock tomorrow and install it, so I'll have more details once I get it done.

OOOH, things are different if you have that ABS crap. I'll look at the Bullitt tomorrow to see what's needed.
