Default Transmission bobber thingy

I went to replace the transmission filter and this yellow off white bobber looking thing fell out. Any one know what it is or whewre it goes.

Throw it out, they put it in when they make the tranny. Its purpose is to be thrown out. Dont ask me why its there, I didnt understand it either. Main point is just throw it out, you dont need it, because it does nothing.

No you misunderstand......when it comes from the factory they have a yellow bobber thingy that is in the tranny pan. I dont know why its there, all you need to know is just throw it out(the bobber i mean, not the tranny).

It's block off for the transmission fill tube, it gets knock into the pan when they put in the dipstick.
Just toss it.

They use that thing as a dust-plug to keep the insides of the tranny spotless before it leaves the factory. The first time the car gets turned on, it gets kicked out into the pan by the tranny fluid. Just discard it. It's only purpose is to signify that tranny fluid hasn't been changed yet (any mechanic doing it will discard the plug if they find it). Chuck it.
