Default boost gauge

preparing for my m112
ordering DTT, 4.10 gears, MM CC plates and lower control arms in 2 weeks
then its time for the m112 to come. i am researching and learning about the m112
and all of its components. is just a cowl hood and boost gauge all thats needed to
work with the m112? how does the boost gauge work, what does it show? how do i know
what # of boost gauge to get. I want to get two other gauges also for just my personal wants, what are two other good kinds. I was looking at the wideband, what does that show.
what is a good brand of gauges also. www.speedofsoundllc.com is right now the street from me also so ill probably hit them up sometime too

go with autometer gauges. get a boost, wideband, and oil pressure

the wideband shows you the air/fuel ratio

thewideband is a wideband regardless right? but with the oil pressure and the boost, whats the different psi's mean- i know its pounds per square inch- isnt 1 psi=10hp? but how much psi should i be looking at for the two?

Oil pressure has nothing to do with horsepower.
Boost is measured in pounds per square inch. Regular atmospheric pressure is around 15 psi. Meaning that for every 15 psi of boost you run on the engine you basically double the power output.

theres an oil preasure guage on the dash, and while it may not be 100% accurate, you will know if something goes wrong, id do, if its an auto, id actually go with a tranny temp first, if its a 5 speed, you should be fine with just the boost/AF

4.10's are too much gear for a positive displacement blower setup. 3.45's are ideal foir a M112 setup.

3.73's max

the stock gauge reads normal if you are above like 6psi. if running a forced induction setup, an oil psi gauge is not a bad idea

most boost/vacuum gauges will show from i think 30psi to 0 and from 0 to 30psi

Derrick, so you think 4.10s are too high?

Does the cobalt series of nexus look good? I just don't like how bright they are, but ill just get that like $350 wideband A/F and a 30or30psi boost gauge?

By the way, ill ask you 1 or 2 more things about the m112 and if I need to get anything else besides the kit and the gauges, but ill ask more about that when it comes to the time in march
