Default LT's?

ok im sending the guy the money for my LT's and O/R h today and i was wondering does the engine have to be lifted a bit to put them (the headers) on the v6's like the 4.6's? if not i will be able to put these on myself i am very mechanichally inclined and it would save me a wad as i would be able to do everything on my own thanks guys

No you don't have to lift the engine. And installation itself is not really easy, not that difficult either but could be pain in the a$$! And make sure to have somebody around while working. Anyways I would take it to the shop, there might be some welding needed.

no welding till you get to the catback (or you could get it clamped)

drivers side is easy, pass side is a PITA, easier to take the starter out to, motor doesnt have to be lifted, also while your at it put new manifold/header gaskets on, and dont forget you o2 extenstions and MILS

yea im going to weld it up my self i am a welder so no biggie there im going to order plugin mil elims o2 extenders new gaskets and FRPP locking header bolts and Mac flow tubes and weld my 40 series i have now and leave it dumped so my quasi cat-back is not hard wleded to my midpipe like it is now. all of this will either be next paycheck or this one as soon as i figure out how much all that is going to run

talking about the bolts does anyone know of another company to get the bolts from? i like to look around i know FRPP has them and cjponyparts sells them for $50 http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb....Z5Z5Z50000016b

im thinking it going to run me few hundred more dollars for all the small parts listed so it will probably be two more weeks before i order it then it has to ship then im putting it all on

**** i have to get tuner too damnit i forgot ok looking at those now too suggestions? anyone have one for sale lol

stay AWAY from RPM outlet

i got my tune from vmptuning.com, and if your state has emissions you need MILs cause they cant get into the computer with a tune installed

i baught a summit racing cat back and welded it all up with the forces but left the mid pipe bolted and clamped, this way if i get the desire to go to an O/RX or if i want a catted X made, or fab up true duals etc i can just get underneith the car and swap mid pipes
