If your trying to budget id suggest
1) gears and an lsd(best bang for your buck besides n20, ir f/i
2)LT headers and exhaust
3)cai and UD pulleys

A stroker kit is a kit that uses longer and stronger push rods and pistons to allow for a longer "stroke" (the up and down length the piston travels).

www.supersixmotorsports.com sells reputable stroker kits, keep in mind, performing this kind of work is no wheres even remotely cheap. The entire engine needs to be disassembled, honed, bored (depending on the stroker size), cleaned, and then fully reassembled with the new kit, all in all, it's extremely costly for the power gains, however your block will be stronger than carbon steel (in a technical sense) and will essentially be brand new, aside from all the old parts that go back on.
