Lightbulb Engine swap querries.

So here's the story. I own 3 'stangs. My brother is about to graduate HS so I'm giving his my '98. He's not happy with the power and has saved us enough cash order a '95 T-bird SC engine and swap it into the '98.

-He's curious now as to how the swap will effect 1/4 mile performance?

-And while I'm asking, how about the Windstar topped 4.2L I'm dropping into my '96?

So you would be switching the 98 back to single port intake? It will be faster with the SC engine in it, but there isn't a lot of room for growth with the M90. I would leave it split port and spend the money on a blower.

OK. A slight add on. My little sister as going to be a sophmore next year and is looking for a car, I was planning to let her use my '95 vert, but the engine crapped out. So the '98 will get the SC engine, for the torque, and the '95 will get the '98's engine.

every 100 lbs is like .1sec and not too mention that 'verts are less stable from a structual point of view.

a SC swapped stang with stock rubber and stock 2.73 peg leg will run 14 flat, so gears, tires etc, it will easily be in the 13s

4.2 would be mid to high 14s

That mid-to-high 14's 4.2L info taking into account my '96's support mods??

And my brother'd buying a 89-91 pulley for the blower, a cat-back, and a hand held tuner . . . effect??
