another rear end question

Default another rear end question

I have found a 95 gt rear end for 300$$ and i have a 2000 what do i need to install it. I remember this being talked about before but can't find it.

You'll need 1/2" wheel spacers, enlarge lca mounts from 12-14mm. With one that old you may need to get gears, as a lot of them came with a 2.73 gear. Odds are, depending on mileage, that the t-lok will have to be rebuilt, if so, use cf clutches

What gears should i run and can you give me some links to find those parts. I also have 1in wheel spacers now.

ryan about covered it.


generally, people go 3.73 manual, 4.10 with auto's. different with FI.

also, if you have ABS, you will need the rearend from a car with ABS, or swap the axles in from a car with it.

make sure you really research this though. This project can really turn into something where you think you've bought everything, and it ends up turning out that you only have half and keep spending more and more money
