I haven't actually done headers on the stang yet, so I really can't help you in that respect. But for the longtubes meeting the stock exhaust, I'm not sure how you'd go about it, but I can promise you it'll involve cutting and welding. And for the header install itself, I'd set aside a full day... these kinds of things always take longer than they should

If you get shortie headders(0 hp gain) I think those are a bolt on, but if you get longtubes(8 hp gain) then you will need some cutting and welding done to make everything connect. And the longtubes will make your car sound sooo much better.

JBA doesnt make headers for v6 cars

im running MAC Long tubes with an MAC shorty O/R H and dynomax high flow cats welded into it with a 2.5" exhaust and flowmaster knock off mufflers. its easiest to buy the whole exhaust system, i knocked a full second off my quarter mile time and added 4 mph to my trap speed

If you have an auto, forget it. They are bent to go around the 5 speed tranny.
