Default Tlock Install

hey guys im installing a tlock and im using the same stock gears i think 3.27 and im stuck at a point. i already have the gear ring on the Tlock i have new bearings and races and the tlock will not fit in the carrier with the same shims. whats the problem. if anyone know the shim measurements i will fix it. i think thats all i need to know. thanks a lot.

did you get the large shim like things that came from the tlock's rear end? on the limited slip 7.5 both main shims are exactly the same, but on the tlock 7.5 the left side main shim is a bit smaller (i cant remember how much but it's a couple hundredths.. .028 smaller comes to mind but i could be wrong)... be sure to check your backlash.. it should be close to .011 if your using your old gears...

wow, i think someone just ruined their rear end by not knowing what they're doing.

wrong. got it in and its running good, and i just dont have the money for new gears right now. ill probably do them in the future.

its not that hard to do just the carrier, you dont need to set back lash or anything like that, it took me like 3 hours to do the one in my old toyota when i welded it.
