Well, in my opinion, T-Shifter from Hurst is #1. However, your install will be VERY easy. The ***** are screw on, screw off. Just give the leather boot a little tug to separate it from the bottom of the ****, then unscrew the ****, and screw on the new one (plus all the stuff mustangman02232 was talking about above me).

I suppose I should have worded that differently. The **** will come off the same, it just needs more.....persuasion. Plus, you have to disconnect the wire for your overdrive switch. Then, just run the whole process in reverse for the new ****, and you're done (unless you screw one of those steps up). The whole thing should take all of 10 minutes, if you are working at a tedious pace, so as not to break anything. Otherwise, you could do it in 2-3 minutes, but, you may not have an O/D switch anymore (though that wouldn't make you the first, I'm sure).

OK, here's how you remove the auto ****, very simple:

Start the car up and put the **** in neutral, or all the way down for maximum room to work, turn the car off, it will stay stuck in the position.

Get the appropriate allen wrench, there is a hole at 12 o' clock position on your shifter.

Put the allen wrench in the hole and lossen it till it comes all the way out.

Now give it a slight twist and pull, you'll have to pull fairly hard, the OD will come out with the shifter top, it just sits in there.

Get some a wire stripper and strip the two OD lines, and reattach them to the OD button (they'll probably come off when you take off the shifter, or if you get one from MGW it'll come with a new OD button).

Line everything back up, and push the new shifter on.

Rescrew in the allen screw.

Turn the car on, put it back in park, or drive.
