Squeking Crankshaft
3.8L Engine
The camshaft position sensor (CMP sensor) (12126) is a single Hall effect magnetic switch activated by a single vane which is driven by the camshaft (6250) . The camshaft position sensor provides camshaft position information which is used by the powertrain control module (PCM) (12A650) for fuel control.

cam syncro ^^^

the cam synchronizer is located right below the cam sensor it's a shaft that that is what the cam sensor uses. this is know to make a squealing noise when the belt is removed.
Also you are arguing with a FORD CERTIFIED TECH oh yea where is my 1million dollars
here is the site to buy a cam Camshaft Synchronizer Ford part # 689100

sorry but ford certified techs in my 20years of engine experience don't know much about anything. try to find a ford garage that can change a differential around here. most of them if they can even find what's wrong will read the ford tech manual step by step to make the repair instead of common sense and good technicial knowledge guiding them through a repair. point in case i asked for cam bearings for a 2.5L 24V countour engine. it doesn't have any but the ford techs and parts pros sure wasted alot of time looking for them and were pissed when i told them they don't have them and they should have known that fact. another instance is my 83 F250 6.9L diesel. i had a ford tech try to tell me my injection pump was going bad cause it was hard starting. i told them it was the glow plug controller on the back of the intake and i needed one. well they quoted me after i finally convinced them that the pump was good $165 for the controller. well i bought one from GM for the 6.2L detroit diesel for $100 less and it's the same exact part but they argued it wasen't even though it carries the same stamped numbers on it.
sorry no 1 million dollars

thats not just the sensor, its 2 pieces. the lower aluminum part is the syncro, and when they go bad the make a squeaking noise. as far as the techs in your area sounds like you live in an area highly populated with dumbasses. ford has very good technical training. if i had a dollar for every time a independant shop brought something to us because they couldnt figure it out i would be very wealthy.
oh yeah, im a ford certified and ase master certified tech.

so as jwog666 pointed out i am right.
as for you cobra232 next time just keep your mouth shut. cause you putting money down and then taking **** get's old.
and as for the ford tech around your area they must be really dumb.

i like how backyard joes who have some skill at swapping parts and installing bolt ons think that correctly diagnosing a driveability or electrical concern is as easy as just asking someone, and that the trained automotive technician at the dealership is always out to rip them off. but after hundreds of dollars spent guessing and swapping out parts they always find their way to a qualified technician. and as far as computers go, yes we fix computers. there are more computers in a modern car than were on board the apollo spacecraft, its part of the job.
i hate ignorance.

sorry again no 1 million dollars. there is nothing on the CPS that syncronizes anything. it simply sends 1 of various signals from other sensors to the ECU to keep the fuel/air/timing events correct
i am really waiting for this one although i already gave the answer.
oh and i really hate to go here but i was building a sick *** SBC in my 81 Jeep J-10 pioneer when you were probably 6 months old. i'm no stranger to cars or engines or OBDI or OBDII. i was ASE cert back in 92 for god sake. i let it run out because i was surrounded by a circus of retards. not saying you or anybody else here is but i know my way around stuff pretty good and alot of people here can attest to my advise
