egr problem again...
so about 5 months ago i replace the egr sensor and it solved the problem now it back up again. insufficient flow p0401. so how do solve this problem could i just clean out the egr ports itself. i did that on my honda clean out the ports and made them bigger. so how do i go by doing this. thks.
Also blow out & check for clogged tubes pipes to/from the EGR sensor & EGR tube back to the intake. The code basically says there is a restriction somewhere. That DPFE could also be the culprit. You should also have vacuum to the DPFE.
Heres some info: http://www.paladinmicro.com/PalMFrame00.htm?wks=obd
Searchable codes & fault corrective actions.
Heres info on the DPFE: http://www.tomco-inc.com/Catalog/dpfe%20sensors.pdf
Should be fixable.

i went to advanceautoparts and got the Sensor (Dpfe) 5 months ago. i'll check the tubes but right now the engine is hot and that egr valve is HOT!. i'll take out the sensor and see if water comes out. i'll get back soon and tell u guys.
I dont be knowin about your "fart" but I doubt its the EGR. The EGR only opens under certain loads and RPMS, its not like an on-off thing either. It goes up by 10% intervals. The 2 hoses are not interchangable. There should be one with a small opening and one with a bigger opening. You should be able to see the difference in the DPFE nipples as well.
ok i guess i will replace the sensor i read up on the water thing on the net. they say to spray a computer solvent in there then to put it back in. so i put that maf cleaner in there got some black stuff out so tomorrow i will replace it. for like 30$ lol
