Default Engine Swap

Ok i meet this dude in durham. He totalled his 2003 Gt and the car only had 20xxx on it. He just GAVE ME the block to the 4.6l. ok, i can get all the parts for the engine. how hard is it to swap the engine out if i do all the work myself. i work on cars, but i still want to know if someone else has done it. and what is involved. me and a few buddies swaped a inline 6 with a 350 in a jeep cherokee last weekend. and i want my car to be a sleeper. i know i will need the 8.8 rear axle (found one for $35) what else will i need?

you found an 8.8 rear end for $35.....
i'll buy it for $200 off you.

its cheaper to buy a GT and not to mention much easier
you'll need the tranny
wiring harness
computer
radiator
motor mounts
heater hoses and radiator hoses vacuum hoses

I might be wrong but I believe they have a different bell housing or something like that but check with someone who knows for sure.

Just take everything thats on the gt and put in in your car. The whole car is a modular platform. The two cars are essentially the same thing except the drivetrain. He gave you the block or the entire engine? Your going to need the entire drivetrain.
Is the 8.8 out of a 99-04?

motor mounts might need work, but if hes giving away the parts to his gt then your gonna have yourself a potentially badass car
