Cool Hood Pins!!!!!!!!!!

I did my first major mod to the mustang tonight. I installed my spectre hood pins only 9.99 at auto zone just gotta find some lanyards. I couldn't believe that my wife actually came down and helped with the install. Very easy install once I found a good spot for the studs. I took off the height adjusters and just had to widen the top hole just a little bit and the bottom hole was just the right size. Then I took the adjusters and cut a hole in the top of them and twisted them down onto the studs very snug and kept my hood at just the right height ut the main key I tried right off the bat to keep my paint on my hood from cracking was I used alot of painters tape and then drilled through that. My wife even gave me her favorite lipstick to mark the holes for the studs to go through because I didn't having anything near the car at the time and hers was right beside mine. I am so happy with the end result. I will post some pics tomorrow of them one my car gets buffed and waxed.
BTW I checked at autozone, o'riellys, and advanced and none of them had the lanyards any idea where I can get some or order them?

Found the lanyards well at least I made some out of galvanized cable so it wouldn't rust. I went to lowes and found some and just bought the clamps and crimped them myself. Only set me back another 3.00

IMO hood pins are useless unless you are constantly going over 120mph.

I like them. Don't care about them appearance wise, but I hate having to slam my hood...

they may break very fast, if you open and close your hood all the time. plus they're probably very expensive

$100, and how do you figure they'll break? They were originally designed for industrial use on doors
