Ok so im pretty new at the aftermarket exhaust, As of now I have a magnaflow exhaust system http://www.autoanything.com/GenericP...ProductID=3570 ( please look at pictures so u can have an idea of what i need help with) an i want to put this x pipe on * http://www.americanmuscle.com/pypes-...-or-xpipe.html * is this possible ? the magnaflow exhaust dosnt look like it will fit the x pipe. if it can work, how much work will need to be done an how much money am i dealing with, i have a limit of 600$. an if it cant be done what mid pipes would work? please help an no offense but it will be best to have ppl who know what they are talking about respond thanks!

 

i would go to your local shop and have them fab you true duels, i was in your situation except i had a flowmaster cat-back system and my shop made it true duels for $100

 

so go to my shop an they will cut and bend it into tru dules ? then go buy any x pipe i want ? how much $ will that be all together, buying a x pipe, having them turn it into tru duels an put an x on ??????

 

does that exhaust system go after the y??

where you live and what shop you go to determines price, here in texas at a meineke i was quoted 250 to have true duels put on after long tube headers with cats welded in and two flowmasters put on.

but if your gonna do true duels dont get an x. that wouldnt be true duels.. and it can make your car sound ricey at the top end sometimes

basically they charge by the time it takes and whatever materials you forget to bring but it shouldnt be much more than that, oh and post a soundclip when your done

 

there are probably hundreds of different exhaust set ups, i like a high flow catted H and chambered mufflers (i run force pro series)

i have long tube headers on mine to further help, a O/R H that i had fabbed high flows into, and a 2.5" GT cat back with flow knock offs

oh awsome i just talked to afriend n he said the same thing about the x pipe, n recomended the menieke so good advice!! so he rec. getting high flow cats? mabey a h pipe with the duels, an a long tube headers doown the road. any adivce on all of that?? n mabey i read it wrong, was it 250 for putting allll that on or just turning ur v6 into true duels, i also have that v6 magnaflow system on, is that where they cutt? im confused about the whole prosses n what goes where.... i kno im a noob =p. thanks for the adivce so far!!

 

oh and also im looking for new magnaflow tips, prob 3.4 - 4 inches, long ones, i cant find any that has the clip on top to insernt the hanger into.

 

dont go to minieke, find a local guy who will do it for you cheaper. i dont like the sound of an X, and you have to change the mid pipe for long tubes so id save up for them if you were to do the exhaust and just do it once right.

 

yea idk about the long tube....too much money, ill wait till i get an 8 cyl. so u rec. getting tru duel, H pipe, n high flow cats? I only have 600$ so if thats not enought what part should i leave out ? or any good sights to find them cheep???

 

I wonder...how hard would it be to do a divorced cat back, then cut it to put in Lt's and an H later on?
