Default Gears Decision

About to order gears and tlok.......Need some sugguestions I want really good acceleration and im not really concerned about gas mileage. Also I have a 5 speed and was planning on boosting down the road. And my last question is it truely worth the money is there a big difference in acceleration and traction. I was looking at 4.10's. Thanks
Dan

from what i've heard from alot of people here for a 5 spd you should put 3.73 because the 4.10 will cause you to fly throught 1st gear and it makes it diffacult to shift but it not impostable.

If your going to Boost then you should go ahead and get a deatorit Truetrac instead of the t-lok.

3.73's is what you need, I think 3.55's are ideal but i would stick with the 3.73's. You will spin through 1st all day with the 4.10's, espically with boost. Yes it is a big difference coming from stock gears.
Have you thought about swaping in a 8.8" rear end from a mustang GT? With the 7.5" you are stuck with the 28 spline axle, but if you get the 8.8" then you can get the 31 splines and be cool like me.lol

not hard at all, all you need is a floor jack, 2 jackstands, and your sockets. All you do is unbolt everything to the rear end and swap out for the new. Everything lines back up in the same place.

I dont mean to thread highjack, but would 4.10 be better for drifting with a 5speed?

you dont need gears to drift in a V6, T Lok or TrueTrac would work fine. I drift with my open diff all over in the summer. I think my diff is messed b/c i never do a one tire fire anymore, its always posi and I know there isnt a T Lok or anything in it.
