Your car will want to shift at the points programmed into the car. Just so you know.

The swap on my 98 cost $1200 without rebuild. I had more tied into it after I rebuilt the trans. Got all my parts from a mustang salvage. MPS or something like that. The website used to be stangparts.com I think. It's been long enough I don't remember. They sold me the whole conversion kit. Came with a used computer as well. You can use your orig. computer, but the check engine light will be on and the O/D off light will flash. The car will otherwise run fine. The new computer and your keys have to be reprogrammed. Until you do this, the car will not run on the new computer because the anti-theft will be enabled.

How do you reprogram your keys, I was thinking that the manual Tranny computer would get rid of the check engine light and the overdrive button. I guess you could take the lights out of the dash. Does it act up any with the auto computer in it.

You could borrow a friends truck unless you have your own and a car trailer or you can phone a tow truck. Common sense would kill some people I think.
