I'm looking into getting an asp udp soon and I know there is a difference between the one for the 99-00 and 01+. When I bought the car I was told it was a 2001 however I checked my manual the other day and it said 2000. so I'm just curious if there is any way I can tell for sure. arn't there some interior differences? thanks

Look inside your driver side door at the id tag, it will tell you when it was produced. Mine is a 95, but was made in Oct of 94 (so yes it was sold 95 year, but technically it's a 94 as it does have a 94 ECU, saw that when I pulled it out).

Didn't they start the smoked headlights in 2001?

I know but i think mine has like an aftermarket reproduction of the stock spoiler because it has this little sticker on the underside of it.

01+ had black housing headlights (stock). Even if your car was made in 00, it was LATE 00 to be an 01 car. Midway through 2000 they switched to the internally bal motors.

Look at your pulley itself. There are two versions. The 99-00 has a bit of a weight on it. When looking at the inside of the crank pulley (where it bolts to the shaft), you'll notice a good thick edge, but it doesn't go all the way around the circle. That is the weight. It's matched to a weighted flywheel.

The newer cars are smooth the entire inside edge of the pulley, and use a zero bal flywheel as well.
