how easy is it to install? should bolt right up rite?

That's just a differential, you need a ring gear, axles, and axle housing to go with it.

I didn't know ford made a 31 spline t-lock, I thught they were all 28 spline

It's for cobras and trucks. My F150 was 31 spline, and it was great when I put in my eatons
