Default Ebay Cold Air Intake

Hi i have a 2000 mustang v6 automatic. I was wondering if there was a difference between a cheap or an expensive cold air intake. I search on ebay and there were cheap ones for $20 or $40. I am a newbie.

Usually you get what you pay for. I have been told that the ebay ones work fine I just can't buy anything for my car off ebay...it just seems kinda sketchy you know? But you check out the americanmuscle.com one I think its $80 and almost identical to the BBK one which cost $200ishh

If I were to get an Ebay one, I would have to at least buy myself a name brand filter afterward, cause I wouldn't trust the one that came with it. That alone is another probably $50ish so just go with the one from AM for $75. Heard nothing but good things about it.

If you got the AM one, would you get a brand name filter, too? I ask because my air silencer housing is cracked and it looks very unappealing. I was going to get a CAI because it would replace that and look better, but if I would have to replace the filter on the CAI anyway, I might as well just live with the cracked housing.

What would you do?

The AM kit is of good quality. The filter is fine, I would trust it more than any Ebay kit. Like I said, I've heard nothing but good things about them.

+1 I have the CAI and filter from American Muscle. The filter is good quality too, pretty sure its the same exact thing as a K&N, just a different color...

the differance is the price tag on them. get whatever you can find cheapest, only reason i have a K&N on mine was cause i got it so cheap (used)
