Default full length subframe connectors work on a vert?

I was going to upgrade to a set of full length subframe connectors for my mustang but I know the convertible have some on stock however they are not full length. I assume I would have to cut off the stock ones right? That is basically my question I just am not sure if they old ones need to be cut off or the new ones can be welded over them.

they are bolt ons so all you have to do is unbolt the stockers and put the full lengths on

Alright, hopefully with the welded full length sfc's it will be stronger than the bolted short ones. Thanks.
