Default Need some help.

I just put new struts and shocks on as in my previous thread, but now that I finally got to take it out I am experiencing a bad vibration especially and speeds over 45. Could this be an alignment issue or is there something I need to check? It seems to be coming from the front.

i doubt its an alignment issue... did you retighten your lugs once you lowered your car back down?

recheck and retorque all the bolts, and if you had vibration issues, check for wear in case something loose rubbed or rattling something to death.

If one strut is not as tight as the other judging by the number of threads showing can I hit that strut with an impact wrench without taking everything apart because I have pneumatic tools.

Oh **** nevermind I just found a lug that is loose and will not tighten all the way on the rear driver's side. That's gotta be it.

One lug won't cause a vibration.

I think it will if the stud is what's loose and the lug nut won't tighten all the way.

Possible, but still not likely, unless the stud is hitting something behind it you shouldn't feel anything from it.

Let's have a little Q&A...

Q: Who is a F*cking Dips*it?

A: ME!

My vibration issue was because my driver's side front wheel was not all the way tight. I know you aren't an idiot until you open your mouth, but just thought I would share. It was careless, but it could happen to anyone. It's driving great now though.

That will do it every time. Make sure to inspect the wheel for damage, you could have damaged the holes that the studs go through.
