Default carb

has anybody ever switched their six from fuel injected to carbureted? if so what was the process? couldnt i pretty much rip everything out and put in my own ignition system and fuel system? block the injector holes with plugs, or nitrous injectors and then have a much simpler to work on carb engine? idk, just a thought cuz 600$ a tune sucks if you are trying to change ur **** alot

It can be done, you have to go to older (pre 99) heads, get a different intake, lose a lot of performance, fail inspection everywhere you go and get passed by ricers everywhere.

unless i was making a track car that i could supercharge and port and cam and use different exhaust manifold or intakes or heads all with the turn of a screwdriver instead of spending 600 dollars on a tune everytime i want to change it

in all seriousness i know carb engines MUCH better than i know efi, to me it is that easy. yeah it would be stupid to have a stock carbed 3.8, all it would do is hurt performance. and dyno tunes r usually 5-600$

For the first tune but retunes tend to be a lot cheaper say aroucd 100 or so idk maybe its just a few of us but on a six to me it wouldnt be worth it now a big block ok but not a six

its going to cost you a lot more to convert to a carb setup than it will cost you to get a dyno tune or 2. if your completely set on doing this supersixmotorsports is your friend...

I have seen it done. It is unique and depending on what you are using the car for could be cool. but it won't be cheap if you don't want to lose performance.
