Default Brakes

Well I changed my brake pads about 10K miles ago and the outside pad on the driver front caliper is shot. I dont really know why that is the only one that shows any wear. Would there be a problem with the caliper making just that one pad wear down faster than the rest or wat?

I let my brother drive my car for a weekend and he brought it back and was like "I dont know whats wrong with your car but when I press the brakes there is a grinding sound." I inspected my brakes and found that he chewed up my driver front rotor pretty bad. I should prob just upgrade to drilled or slotted rotors in the front. I could get my rotors lathed for free but I figure that since Im putting bigger rims on my car I should have a little extra stopping power.

Ok. Guess I might as well upgrade to drilled rotors and just get a new caliper.

Don't waste your money on drilled rotors unless you simply want the look. They don't do anything to increase braking capabilities.

I've been told if you live where it gets really cold, like oh say i dont know CANADA they can crack lol. So idk if you want to have to go through with that if it happens either.

+1 on not getting slotted and drilled rotors.

yeah dont bother with slotted and drilled rotors, i bought some and wasted alil over 200 and they did **** for extra stopping power. its just for looks!!

Well I dont plan on driving my car in the winter anymore and I do have 18" rims to put on so those rotors will look better.

Yeeah true. And If your not driving it in the winter I don't see a problem with throwin a slotted/drilled pair on back. But some people argue its ust a waste of money.
