Few problems with my sixer
Well yesterday I noticed that at idle, my car will not go under 1k rpms and every I'd say about 15 or 20 seconds, the rpms climb to about 1.6k by themselves. Another thing is when im driving over 2k rpms, and I go into neutral or hit the clutch, the rpms stay at 2k rpms for about 30 sec. My car has an exhaust leak, but I'm wondering if that's the reason for all of this? Or maybe I need new plugs and wires? Any help would be great. Thanks guys.
What is a IAC? Another thing I noticed today was when I have the air on, and rev the car to about 1300 rpms, it starts shaking and acting like it wants to stall. Its only from about 1200-1400 rpms. If I go over that then it's fine.
Using Seafoam is also a good idea. You only need two cans.... here's how to use it:

Those directions were written by someone with a LS1, but the procedure is basically the same. I'd suck it up through the PCV valve instead of the brake booster though because with the intake design, it will disperse more evenly throughout the ports. Be sure to change your oil like they say too. Ignore the part about the Deep Creep stuff.
Other than that, idk man. You might as well replace the fuel filter and call it full tune up (excluding transmission fluid and filter... lol). Even though some of these remedies may not be the solution, it's a good idea to get everything fresh and up to date. And I'm pretty sure that if you do all of this, it will fix the problem and your car will run much better.
i'd suggest an entire tuneup, never hurts, if you are hurtiing for money i'd bet on the iac or TPS(if you guys have these?) lol throttle position sensor, if you can spare a little on your car i'd suggest.. new fuel filter/ spark plugs wires/ clean the IAC/ new air filter, never hurts.
