I ordered a SPEC Stage 2 clutch for my car and I am looking to get it installed asap. My question is what/how is the easiest way to remove the pilot bearing? I already have the transmission and bellhousing from under my car and all I lack is taking the pilot bearing out

use a pilot bearing remover, you can rent one from a parts store. I actually kept the one I rented, it was only $30 I think

this may sound old and redneck, but my remover consists of a 1/2" drive extension (or whatever size fits the ID of your bearing) and a bar of ivory soap..

thats not to redneck..one of my buddies said that he usually packs bread into the pilot bearing opening and hits it and thats how he gets his pilot bearings out.

I know people that do that, but it takes way too much time.

this is what a pilot bearing puller looks like;
