when i buy struts and shocks is it ok if they say gt, or do they have to say v6? also when i buy these how do i match my springs or do i have to because they will be different brands.

 

Your shocks/struts can be off a GT, just make sure you get good ones. The brands of springs don't have to match either, just make sure the springs ARE specified for a v6...

The shocks/struts on the GTs are the same as the v6. It's the springs that are different. The only distinguishing factor for shocks/struts is the IRS on the Cobras... those require different shocks/struts. If you want a cheap upgrade, try to find a wrecked Mach 1 (which will be hard lol)... they came with Tokico HP series shocks/struts stock.

 

Or just find some Tokico blues online or somethin, it's about $300 for all of them...
