Whats wrong with the ones in your instrument cluster? Autometer is the best.

Why waste your money on gauges you already have in your cluster. If the gauges in the cluster are off, then something is wrong in either the cluster or the sending unit for the gauges.

the stock gauges like oil pressure tell you nothing. none of the stock gauges are accurate. the important one: oil pressure, coolant temp

They should be accurate to a certain degree, if they're off, then you have a problem with the sending unit, as I said earlier, also, when in the hell would your oil pressure fall or raise higher than normal on a stock or even mildly moded car? My coolant temp gauge is 14 years old and still seems to function just fine, and believe me, it works properly.

jthorn, it depends on what you are doing with the car, for normal driving the stock gauges are more than enough, if you are turning the thing into a road course racer you want highly accurate gauges.

Most importiant are Tach, Oil Pressure, Water Temp, Oil Temp, and Voltage.

OK, is your car a road racer, hell I have an S/C on the way and the only extra gauges I'm using is the boost gauge and a/f ratio gauge, stockers will do just fine. Yes, I agree, you do need highly accurate gauges when running that kind of car, but last time I checked, only a few people on this site have that kind of car, and generally, they also include a shift light (manuals), amongst 20 thousand other things as well.
