ok so this has been going on for about 4 months or so. but now it annoying. so i have this loud ticking like at idle it will be tick...tick...tick...tick...tick. around 2k rpms it tiktiktiktiktitkitktitkitk very very fast. im thinking it coming form the exhaust but the exhaust was done 8 months ago. when i go i can see the cat shack. is this a spark knock.

Do you have the stock exhaust manifolds?

Sounds like a cracked exhaust manifold to me....If its the passenger side one that ends up being cracked I have one for sale just pm me.

i belive they are stock but i dont see a crack. can't i just get headers? mac long tube

Wait your sig says bbk headers. I'm confused...I've heard that with a convertible Lts aren't an option. I'm not sure if there is any truth to that though.

The guy who i bought it from said he had bbk headers but i think there stock. back then i dident know much about cars

Well if they are shorties then the passenger side one could have become cracked. The A/C leaks water onto it and the continued heat up/ cool down cycles cause the flange to crack.

or you can reweld it out the outside and be as new.

^^^ it will just crack again very soon, seen it before


i would take up that offer above or buy 94-98 stock manifold because they are a little better than the 99-04
