Default DriveShaft??

Should I wait to upgrade to the driveshaft or is it something that should be done when redoing the gears??

You don't have too. I am replacing mine with a aluminum driveshaft because my U-joint is toast.

Aluminum driveshaft is a very good update, it greastly decreases the unsprung weight and rotational mass, which are the two MOST parasitic things to have when trying to go fast

Even with shipping cost?? I have found a few sites but they are all within 5-8 bucks of each other due to shipping costs and what not.

All 99-04 driveshafts are the same except for the Cobras, if you have an auto you just swap the front yoke. It's easy

Do you mean swap it to a 28 spline yoke?? the 5.0 driveshaft already has a 28 spline yoke. I drive an automatic 00 i was thinking this one http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...0%201&comp=LRS
But if i get the 96-04 driveshaft that has 31http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/iwwida.pvx?;item?item_no=M4602J%20%20%20%20%20%20% 20%20%201&comp=LRS would have to get this also http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...0%201&comp=LRS help me out i think this is my next mod and dont want to screw it up.

i just did this to mine. i found mine at a u-pull-it salvage yard for $15. had to pay $55 to get it shortened and $40 for 2 new u-jounts. i had to also swap the end piece that bolts onto the rear end. could be a way to go for a little cheaper. i didnt really notice any difference but mine is a single port 94 which are slow anyways.
