Default power adder question

I was wondering from you guys if a supercharger or a turbo kit will still be very beneficial on hp gains on my 96. I'm asking this because I wanted to do the splitport swap but if the supercharger or turbo will still give me alot of hp on my stock singleport heads I'll stay singleport to avoid all the extra money to do splitport swap plus a power adder. What do you guys think? Also will my stock internals and tranny be ok? I got 4.10's as well I hear they are too much for a power adder, can they not be used with them or something cause I want to keep the 4.10's if possible?

Rule of thumb, approx 10 rwhp per PSI of boost, so let that make your decision.

4.10s should be ok since you are an auto. There are people with 400rwhp+ Cobras and LS1s that use 4.10s all the time. Unless you plan on trapping over 120 you should be good and that's somewhere in the mid 11s.... and you have a long way to go to get that fast.

120 can be faster than mid 11's if you have enough suspension work done...

A turbo on a single-port can be monstrous. Their is a guy on another forum that I am part of with a 450rwhp single-port turbo. The single-port currently holds the record of fastest V6 Mustang, although I have a feeling it is about to be broken by a split-port after he gets it up and running properly. lol P/P the single-port flows pretty decently, it is just that stock they flow like horse****...

I decided to do the powerpack from tom at ssm fist then a power adder later down the road. well I talked to tom at ssm he told me the powerpack on a 98 made 212 rwhp with longtubes and a throttlebody. So I would assume I would make a tad more considering I have more mods than that already right?

Split port > single port

You do a split port swap you will be ahead.

Split port would already be the "fastest" but the car is 4000lbs, and a vert that runs 10s on 18" rims and a body kit.

A stock split-port will not flow nearly as well as a p/p single port will... Look at the flow numbers and tell me other wise...

Well duh.....that's why if you do a split port swap you do it right and get a p/p split port.
