Default dumbest move ever

well guys i backed my car up on ramps and like an idiot i got under it to pull the driveshaft and measure it with the aluminum one i bought. well guess what happened when i unbolted it. thats right the car ended up on top of me. so after about 5 minutes of yelling for help my neighbor finally came over and got it off of me. so that was hopefully my stupid mistake of the year.

How?? Did you not set the e-brake or in gear or anything?

in gear wont help a thing if you remove the driveshaft, the ebrake might, but I wouldnt trust it for anything. Get some blocks of 4x4's for the front tires at least man! Work smart, not hard. And be careful, jeesh.

not smart enough to set the emergency brake lol. and i forgot that pulling the driveshaft would pretty much negate having it in gear.

yea my wife has already let me know what she thinks of my stupidity lol. and to top it off im probably gonna have to go have my fingure drilled to releave the pressure from where i smashed it at the u-pull-it where i got the driveshaft. i did find out the driveshaft has to be shortened to work. but i only paid $15 for it so even after i get it shortened it will still be a good deal.

Live and learn. Glad you are ok. You got lucky.

You can get foldable chocks at AutoZone for like $10. VERY much worth the price.
