Default Is it posing or not?

ok.. Now I am the first one to admit that I hate when people build their car up and make it look like something its not.. for example the guys with the older civics that made them look like BMW's or the guys with the avalanche that get the kit to turn it into an escalade and so on and so on.. now here is my problem.. i have a chance to get a really really sweet deal on a body kit.. my boy bought a body kit for his car.. its the VIS Stalker Kit which i have pics of below.. honestly I think the kit looks sick.. just a little upset that I lose the fogs but idk.. i think it looks sicks.. its the urethane kit and he doesn't wanna go through the hassle of shipping and all that so he is basically just giving it away... i mean i think he paid like 750-800 and only wants 300 for it.. but like i said unless i am mistaken this is basically exactly what the Saleen's look like.. With the exception that the rear bumper on this kit does not say saleen.. I don't plan on any way of putting any kind of saleen emblems or anything like that.. i know most ppl just say do what you want cuz its your car but just wondering if its basically posing or if a kit is just a kit as long as you don't put the badging..

I'd say go for it....hell, i count posing as slapping cobra emblems all over the thing, but that's just me....as long as you don't start putting saleen all over it, it looks good to me.

Do you plan on putting "Saleen" all over it??? If you do not then I do not see how it is posing... I actually love the Saleen body kits, they are one of the smoothest body kits I have seen for Mustangs.

I will say it again... It is your car do what YOU want to do... Obviously you care what other people think otherwise you would not be posting on a forum asking about poseur questions... Why do you give a **** what we or anyone else think??? Do you think that I or anyone else on this forum who actually have work done to our cars care what you do to your car? I respect a car that has body work done to it, if the body work is done well. I know how hard good body work is to complete, it takes at least some skill to do.

well fearthisinc if it's the bodykit on the picture you posted then yes go for it, the saleen look is my favorite (as you can see my car) and so is the cobra looks also. now if your going with the stalker kit (the one that says "STALKER" on the rear) then i would have to say don't do it. but it is your money and your decision.

EDIT: like many others have said before me, as long as your are not badging your car as a saleen/cobra/roush and claiming you have a supercharger and can run mid 12's then it is not posing.

Do whatever you want body kit wise, now if you were to change the badging and claim it is something it isn't I would have a problem with that, but not a body kit.

Even if it does say stalker on the back just fill it in sand it and paint it. Unless you're a fan of the white bodykits on a normal colored car.

Well "Stalker" is just the name that VIS Racing came up with for the kit.. I see most other kit producers call it S-style.. Not sure why they call it Stalker since there is an actual Stalker kit but who knows.. And no it does not have any kind of writing on it nor do I plan to actually put any kind of badging... Even if I was supercharged and running 10 second 1/4 miles lol Cuz no matter wht I do to it im still just a v6 lol...
