BBK Trottle Body - waste of money
TB Spacer - expensive paper weight
K&N CAI - not bad, but I like chrome setups myself, but if you don't care about show, then K&N will do just fine.
3.73 Gears - best mod on your list, don't forget to get a limited slip differential so that you can use both tires to supply the power and not just the back right one.

How much money do you have?

Gears: 0 horsepower , you would also want a t-lok while you are doing gears.

throttle body spacer - waste of money as already said

Why do so many people think gears gain horse power? a simple High School physics class and some common sense should show it doesn't.

What you will get from the gears is quicker acceleration as you get into the power band faster. You will also lose some top end speed, so it depends on what you want to do with the car. Also a shorter gear will have some negative impact on fuel mileage.

It all depends what you want to do with the car, if you are Drag racing, then get the 3.73, if it is a daily driver that you want some better acceleration from you are better off with a 4.00, if it is going to be a road course racer, then the right gear depends on the track.

If it is a show car, the gear doesn't matter as long as the rear end housing looks nice and pretty.

The throttle body and spacer and a complete waste, you would be lucky to see a 1HP gain.

K&N CAI's tend to be very expensive for what they are, much better off with a different brand.

OP- You do realize that you are going to need to use a tuner to see any gains no matter what the mod is, Right?? The 4.0 requires you to tune the computer before it will allow for any extra power. A CAI/tuner usually gain 15-20 for the 4.0.

The do not make a 4.00 rear end for the 7.5... They make 3.73 and 4.10 for the aggressive gears as far as I know, they may make 3.55's now but not that I know of...

A 3.73 is an all around good gear for both manual and auto. 4.10's are usually only recommended for auto's, they are a bit aggressive for manual's. Gearing for a road course is advanced work and its not like very many people on this site road race in general.

You are right I meant 4.10, and actually I have it backwards anyway.

And he won't need a tune before he sees any gains, a tune will get him the most out of the changes, and is highly recommended, but it's not like he won't see anything without the tune.

Have you see how the s197 reacts to mods without being tuned? 7/10 times they run worse than before they were modded... SCT xcal should be any s197's first mod.

Look at the mods this guy is talking about, a CAI and a Gear, neither one do you need a tune for.

Yes some mods if the car isn't tuned for them it won't help and could hurt performance, but not the mods being discussed in this thread.
